Kayko sounds really cute! Yup, once you've held the kitten, the contract is done! :) That's the way it was with MishMish. we keep our cats inside all the time (unless you're foolish enough, like me, to try to walk one outside). Sometimes we let them eat a tiny bit of grass but we also treat them for fleas once a year. There are too many dogs and cars around here for kitties to do well outside. We've always had ours indoors. It's so sad to lose one! Mishy is falling asleep on the couch as I type... purring.... (Mishy, not me!) :P

Our cat is a girl we picked up at the park one day LOL...she and her siblings were being given away by someone, usually I turn the kids down when they ask me to bring a pet home, but I held her and it was history after that!

We for the longest time couldn't decide on a name, even now some of the kids call her different things....but my youngest, who is 2 calls her "kay-ko" short for Kurdish word for cat, and that's what I call her too.

She was a kitten when we got her back around April, only like 12 weeks or so...so she is a little under a year I guess.

Our previous cats had been indoor/outdoor, but due to some issues in the past with fleas, and also two different cats getting killed by getting hit by cars, I opted this time to have a strictly indoor cat.

Bubbles gets to come home tomorrow morning! YAY! Mishy has been missing her. I just posted on FB how you should not attempt to carry your half-bobcat kitty to the mail box unless she's on a leash... we took a spill and I'm quite sore now. But I'll be ok, InshAllah. Mishy's fine. And she'll be thrilled that Bubbles will be home tomorrow! Thanks for asking. What is your cat's name? How old is he or she? Where did you find him or her?
We got Bubbles from our vet. Mishy came from the animal shelter here in Murfreesboro, TN.

That was an amazing post, Eva. I am SO proud of you and how you are handling things. You did everything in such an efficient, thoughtful, thorough manner with a lot of careful consideration. I always tried to do the same for you guys. I also had times, as you know, of great frustration and lost my cool but I also tried to back off and regroup, and find better solutions, as I went along being a mother. Being a parent - being a GOOD parent - is one of the toughest jobs there are. *HUGS* to you and the boys both :)

Oh, subhaanAllaah - you've all caught the norovirus. May Allaah grant you all a quick and complete cure, aameen.

Try to rest, drink plenty of fluids and take painkillers if needed. Also, I say it's a great excuse to have LOADS of honey - medicine of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam).

**Get well soon**
